Mid-Winter Break Week

We had a fun mid-winter break. It was so nice to have the kids all week and you know me I had a lot planned for the week!
But first we start with the weekend before mid-winter break. Valentines Day weekend! Saturday night Graham had his first birthday party with a friend from preschool, a friend he made, not one I made for him. It was very exciting and a fun party.
Sunday afternoon we went to Costco, it was so exciting Graham fell asleep in the cart.
Warren and the kids spent most of the weeknight evenings in the garage working on a secret project. Sunday morning I finally got to see what they had been working on. It is a card made of wood. :)
Graham sanded the sides and Claire held it while Warren chiseled the letters. We are still thinking of a place to hang it.
On Monday we went sledding in the mountains. Doesn't look like we will be getting any snow this year, so we drove to the mountains to get our fix. It was a beautiful day and I dressed us all way too warm. Better that than cold, right?
On Tuesday we delivered Girl Scout cookies! Claire got dressed up in her uniform and we headed up to Mom's office to deliver cookies, her co-workers bought 30 boxes! Claire's metal pins on her uniform set off the security metal detectors. So she got a patdown. Graham is quite the traveler, when he walked up to security he asked them if he had to take off his shoes.
Wednesday was appointment day, haircuts in the morning and pediatrician in the afternoon. Then a quick trip to the park.
Thursday we went to the zoo, I have no pictures of the kids, but Claire took pictures of every animal exhibit we visited and I quickly put those into a digital scrapbook page so she could take it in the school. They are learning about all the different penguin species and she got a great picture of a penguin.
Friday was bouncy house and a picnic at the park. Claire gets so sweaty and pink jumping around.
Friday night was our girl scout meeting. Girl Scouts World Thinking Day is this week. Each girl in Claire's troop was assigned a country and given a book about the country, they had questions to answer and colored the flag. Then they got in front of the troop and taught the others about their country. The poster we put together will go to a local library to be displayed. We are lucky enough to have a couple of junior scouts who are working on their junior aide patch, they have really helped us with cookies, how to do site sales and showing the girls what their future in girl scouts can look like.
Saturday we rode tripped to our nieces house for another nieces birthday party. It was good to see Warren's side of the family and C & G had a great time with their cousins. 4 of their 9 cousins were their.
Another beautiful day....
Graham loves bubbles....
Disgusting fake teeth that all the kids loved....
A video of Claire going down the hill, there is no way I would have done that at her age by myself, I was scared enough at 34!
That all for now! It was great to spend the week with them, back to 'normal' next week.
